My "Why"

People ask me why I care so much.

Why I spend hours perfecting a graphic. Why I’ll rewrite a caption five times until it feels right. Why I obsess over the smallest details that most people would never notice.

The truth is… it’s never just been about marketing.

I’ve always been someone who’s building something.

Sometimes it’s a business. Sometimes it’s a brand. Sometimes it’s a website, a social media page, or a marketing strategy. But more than anything, I’ve been building myself.

Life hasn’t always been easy. I’ve walked through struggles, heartbreak, disappointment, uncertainty, and seasons where I questioned whether I was on the right path. There have been moments where starting over felt like the only option. But every setback taught me that I had a choice: stay where I was, or build something better.

I chose to build.

That’s why I started Tedder Marketing Collective.

Not because I wanted to own another business by the age of 20 just to say I did, but because I genuinely love helping people tell their stories. I love seeing a small business owner get excited about their brand again. I love taking someone’s vision and bringing it to life. Whether it’s a luxury boutique, a local HVAC company, a hunting ranch, or a family-owned business that’s poured years into what they do, I believe every business has a story worth telling.

I care because I know what it feels like to pour your heart into something and hope other people see its value.

I’ve always had an eye for the details. The colors, the fonts, the wording, the feeling a photo gives someone when they stop scrolling. I don’t believe marketing is just about selling something. It’s about making people feel something.

Outside of work, the people and things I love are what keep me grounded. My mom, sister, and Cody have taught me what it looks like running a business. My grandparents have been some of my biggest supporters in anything I do and give me unconditional love. My dog, Bella, has been by my side through some of life’s hardest seasons, reminding me every day what loyalty looks like. Those relationships have taught me that success means very little if you don’t have people—and a purpose—to come home to.

I’ve learned that resilience isn’t about pretending life is easy. It’s about choosing to keep showing up anyway.

To keep creating.

To keep believing.

To keep chasing the life you know you’re capable of building.

My “why” has never been about money or followers.

It’s about leaving things better than I found them.

Helping a business owner feel proud of what they’ve built.

Giving someone confidence in their dream again.

Creating work that has heart behind it.

And proving (to myself more than anyone else) that where you start doesn’t have to determine where you finish.

If there’s one thing I hope people remember about me, it’s not how many clients I had or how many businesses I worked with.

I hope they remember that I cared.

I cared about people.

I cared about their dreams.

I cared about doing things the right way.

And I hope that everyone who crossed paths with me left feeling a little more encouraged, a little more confident, and believing that their own dreams were worth chasing too.

That’s my why. ❤️
